We are pleased to announce the 4th Annual Symposium on Orthognathic Surgery, Principles & Planning. This year aims to focus on the Orthognathic : Craniofacial interface. The faculty comprises renowned and highly experienced clinicians from a mix of surgical and orthodontic backgrounds.
Pravin K. Patel, M.D., is a board certified craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgeon, chief of pediatric plastic surgery program and the cleft lip and palate service at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Chicago. Dr. Patel has a research interest in skeletal biomechanical engineering and has been instrumental in bringing advanced 3-D printing for surgical planning and virtual surgery techniques to the Chicago hospital. He is a previous winner of excellence in undergraduate teaching at Mayo Clinic, and has been recognized as one of Chicago’s Top Doctors multiple times.
Dr. Manlio Galiè is clinical Professor at the St. Anna University Hospital of Ferrara, Department of Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery – Center for Orbital Pathology & Surgery. He specializes in Maxillo-Facial Surgery and in ENT Surgery.
Dr. Galiè has lectured as invited speaker to numerous Seminars, Meetings, Roundtables and Congresses in Italy, Europe, and Worldwide.
Interested in new innovations in cranio-maxillo-facial surgery his special interests are in craniofacial surgery, orbital surgery , reconstructive surgery and total facial rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, cleft surgery, tumor surgery of the oro-maxillofacial area.
Current researches: Tissue engineering & Distraction Osteogenesis
The two days will be made up of lectures, panel discussions and audience question and answer sessions. There will be ample opportunities for socialising and networking over the coffee breaks and during the three course lunch, as well as in the hotel bar each evening.
